Heavens, someone else has been to Portmeirion. I'm not saying this isn't a good black and white conversion but why black and white when there is so much colour there to be exploited? That sky is wonderful. david

Great use of light Cliff and a fine mono conversion. david

So you got your K10 John, Welcome to the club, you can now justify your logon name. Mind you don't go scaring the old ladies of Durham with that picture. david

Apart from the tremendous colours in this shot Matt you've also got a wonderful composition. I love the way the line of trees is mirrowed by the sky line as it swoops down left to right.

I like abstracts majan and these two are good attempts. Perhaps this shot and the bridge detail might have had more impact with a greater depth of focus to give us just a little more sharpness to a bigger area of the picture. david

This picture appeals to me in my black and white mood. The contrast seems good and the wide angle lens distorts the angles to a pleasing degree. The stained glass windows are in an ideal position to help the composition and the cross on the porch casting it's shaddow on the church wall is a delight. You've caught the mood nicely Ron. When I was young I was in a cycle race that started and finished in Kilsyth and went over the Campsie Fells. It also went round the Trossachs and twice up the Duke's Pass.Your scene is a bit more restful than that. david

A very attractive version of the age-old view of Durham. I like this for the contrast which creates a lot of drama. IR is a good medium for this tree lined shot david
