Dramatic picture Yollie. Glad to see you used a 200mm lens, I wouldn't want to take that shot with my Siggie 10-20mm.:D:D:D David

Scarey when a big steam loco starts to skid, all that power unleashed. You caught the moment well Cliff. I captured this train later today on its way back south on the Settle and Carlisle Railway. David

Nice one John. You had better light than I did for the same train later today at Kirkby Stephen. I'm about to upload one now. David

I posted the 8F on here on July 25 and a mono version on July 26 Peter. They are both of it coming south at Kirky Stephen although I got shots earlier in the day northbound at Appleby and soutbound near Langwathby. David

Does the Earl of Harewood, who I believe is the Queen's cousin, also have an outside loo as well as an outside bath Ken? David

Larry that's a very atmospheric photo. Love your comments on all the pictures by the way. David

I agree, lovely light. Those houses are every picturesque. Is that girl drying her hair or having an open air shower? David

Classic location for train photography on the Settle and Carlisle railway Peter. You've caught the black Duchess to perfection. That bridge in your picture is where I shot Leander from a few days later. David

I like the period treatment you gave this Peter, its very 1950s or 1960s. Its the same sort of bus as the one of mine you mentioned, that was also a United bus from the same fleet as this one of yours. My bus, photographed at the Morpeth Meet in April, often features in the TV series Heartbeat. BTW what happened to the picture you posted of the Black Duchess earlier today? I went to comment on ...

You have a trademark that is instantly recognisable in the thumbnail Andrew - and this lives up to the expectation when you open it up full size. The old door and rusty hinge would have made an interesting picture but the addition of the colour from the bloom makes it very artistic. David
