The Goths don't take any 'hunting down' because they are there in droves and most love having their pictures taken. The difficult bit at Whitby is fighting your way through the crowds of photographers to get to the Goths.

I find the best place to park in Whitby is near the rail station but it soon fills up as the morning goes on. Whitby gets very crowded but its a small place so you can walk everywhere with ease - except the not-so-fit may struggle on the long steps up to the church.
PS, Hello Ken.

The bottom of the long steps leading up to the Abbey and Church are a good place to meet in Whitby. Ater wandering around the streets earlier I'll look out for any Pentax users in that area between 11-12pm on the Saturday.

PS: Just noticed K10d's photo in the Gallery showing these very steps.

If you take your photography seriously you can't seperate form and content. A good picture has to score on both counts.

I'm with George here. For me anything from the German Baroque, Handel, Bach, Telemann in particular through to the post Romantics, Elgar, Sibelius, Mahler via the Vienese Classical composers such as Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven. Also I like some jazz.

I'm going to the Goths regardless of whether its a Pentax Meet or not. Its only about 50 miles from where I live and an early start gets me there in under 90 minutes. I'll be going with a few other members of Durham PS but I won't want to be seen hanging about with Nikon and Canon users all day so I'll be on the lookout for Pentaxians.

No. 2 for me too. The colour of the first is impressive but the second picture packs more drama - and I just love that sky.
