Secondly, can I just say what an incredibly beautiful and inspiring set of images you have produced. I think I can say without any doubt this is the best set I have ever seen on the PU Forum. They demonstrate a mastery of the art which is rare indeed, not just of the processes of taking a technically correct image, but of the artistic elements to compose the shots, choose just the right shutter speed /aperture combination and to process them in a the most subtle and considered way to bring out the elements that make the shot stand out.
I too am not going to choose a favourite, but similar to Gareth, number 6 strikes me as particularly inspiring.
Thanks for posting this, I will return to view these many times I suspect.

As an aside, since I've had the DA*300 and 1.4TC, I have noticed that the K-3 focusses much more reliably than the K-5iis using the centre point. I'm not talking about focus accuracy here as the K-5iis is very accurate, I'm talking about a tendency to hunt on small subjects like wild birds for example. The K-3 locks on where the K-5iis hunts in and out. Has anyone else noticed this?

The shots with the old Tamron BTW are No.5 and No. 9. As mentioned yesterday, it's hard to see on this image size in the Forum, but on the originals these ones have much less inherent sharpness and contrast than the DA*300 / 1.4TC images.

Sincere best wishes for a speedy and hopefully full recovery, I think you know that I am a huge admirer of your work and will miss your images whilst you're not able to use your camera. Your love for photography and art really shines through in your work and I hope it won't be too long before you can get back behind the lens.
I don't know if you can think someone better, but I'm doing my best right now!
Best wishes
David
