I was at a motorcycle meeting today followed by a trip over to RSPB Old Moor having been inspired by David Storms images from there.

Shot a few dragons.

Had lunch there and enjoyed the visit. It's a great location.

Some lovely shots here Gary, I love the location as it's so compact and easy to get close to the Dragonflies. I think a visit in August or September would be best to catch more species, but it's great on any nice day.

Thank you David. I would not have known about the location had it not been for your post. I certainly didn't know it was so close to the Wombwell circuit. I was previously at the circuit in the late 70's racing 1/8th scale radio control cars and using an ME and MX.

Excellent work Gary. Lovely to see. While I haven't started looking yet, I'm surprised I haven't seen any when I've been sitting in a bird hide.

Last time I was in a bird hide I woke up the next day. DON'T take a bottle of Silver Birch vodka into the hide with you.

I'm just off tp find a shot glass...................................................
