Some common sense is surely expected to be applied and the fact that some Pentax SLR's have a degree of weather resistance gives people the confidence to use them when other cameras may be put away. I certainly would not expect my K-5's to be fully waterproof and I wouldn't expect Pentax to cover water ingress under warranty, unless there was clear evidence that a manufacturing defect existed in one or more of the seals.
I don't think Pentax's position on this is any different to any other manufacturer?

1 Tough construction for stress free shooting in all places and kinds of weather
I thought the disclaimer was:
* But if the camera get damaged by water, then it is not covered by warranty.

Seems misleading to me?
The spelling mistake is a bit amateurish, but I think the overall thrust of the advert is positive and sells the benefits quite well.

Pringles tubes and on-board flash is the most convenient way to go. You may need to slide one tube inside the other to allow for different lens lengths.
The 50 1.7 and tubes is an awesome combination only lacking the ability to turn around and shoot the dog if the occasion arises
I rarely go over f11, nothing wrong with a bit of shallow DOF, but the sharp bit MUST be pin-sharp
Oh yes, and get down lowwwww. make like another insect and the drama will improve ten fold.

All of these are with natural light, first and second are with a Sigma 105 macro, K-5iis/K-x, third one with a K-5 and SMC Pentax K55 F1.8 and extension tubes.

Interesting shots. The first one is spoiled by the path being blurred?
It also shows quite serious moire on the roller shutter to the right
of the man.
There's also moire on the aluminium above the handrail on the second shot
and on the sloping roof of the last.
Is the moire due to the camera or processing.

Regarding the first shot, the 'blurring' on the path is intentional. The image has been combined with a textured background to add a different look to the buildings and the path; whether this adds to the image or not is down to personal preference, but it's not blurring.
I think you will see similar things if you zoom right in on any images uploaded to the Gallery or the Forum, as the size of image it allows is massively compressed from the original. The extent of this will depend on he method of compression used; I have used 'bicubic sharper' on these are this seems to suit web images well.
