can you share any info of your clone settings
I start off at 100% opacity with a brush size appropriate to the area to be cloned. On this one it would have been around 100 to 120 I think.

Once the rough cloning is complete I usually reduce the opacity to 45% or thereabouts, reduce the brush size and re-do the edges, i.e. where the clone meets the non-cloned area, just to make sure that the edges are invisible.

Here's mine, not too sure why you're finding this difficult to clone out as it seems quite straightforward?

Just used the clone tool in Photoshop, nothing else.

The Haida 10 stop filters are excellent. They add very little colour cast and if anything tend warm things up very slightly, in contrast to my Hitech 10 stopper which adds a cool blue cast. The Haida is definitely better than the Hitech, very well made too. I would recommend one.

A link in the Pointless thread would have sufficed, which was the point I was making. There are so many useless videos on YouTube I'm sure those who want them can find them quite well.....
OK, thanks John, I was being a bit thick there thanks for the explanation.

So why did you watch the whole 9:57 then Ken? You'll never recover those 9 minutes 57 seconds of your life.

I think this was just a 'wind up' video John, not intended to be serious. What did you mean by 'we have a thread for such thoughts'?

I'm not trying to provoke anything here, just genuinely puzzled by what this means?

OK Ralph, thanks for the explanation, I understand a little better now. I do think though that if this was the issue you may have been better with a different light source and no filter? This shot would come to life with an aperture of F2.8 or less.

I'm not being negative, just trying to give some honest feedback.

Best wishes

Great shots Stephen, the first one is a stunner. Regards the wider park shot, I do think your original is better than Smeggy's (sorry Smeggy, but yours looks to have a worse colour balance than Stephen's original).

Best wishes

Hi Ralph, I find it quite hard to comment on this one to be honest. It is a perfectly good image, but I'm struggling to get my head around why you would use a ND filter on a shot like this? Surely it's not required as you have control over the light and it can only reduce the quality?

Matty, what about this one:

I know it's not the 'limited' but I also hear that the optical formula is the same? I'm always one for getting value for money!
