Close up visit to Slimbridge

A visit to Slimbridge WWT earlier today with the pure intention of looking for close ups.

All shots Pentax 120mm F4 with 50mm Ext Tube and Handheld - exposure around 1/320 sec F4 and 400 ISO

Sweet set,
No 2 is just spot on, enough dof to show plenty of detail and just starting to fall off where youd want it to.
No 3 is tasty too, seems to be plenty of red soldier beetles about.

I know what i like, If not always why.

These have a beautiful, subtle quality to them - I think it's the slightly muted colours combined with the perfect focus points. I assume these are with the 'Z' and not a K1 with adaptor

Spot on John, that's what I love about it, both in macro which is a new genre for me and obviously landscapes / portraiture / art nudes etc

All beautifully shot, great set again Chris. Perhaps not the impact of the Marbled White in your other set, but fantastic nonetheless.

some beautiful shots, definiterly a much more interesting take on Slimbridge than the usual , well done Chris from one who gets absolutely cheesed off with bird photos from there

The gardens around by the café have always been good for insects ( where the wildlife ponds are ) and if you take the footpath to the first hide from there, the garden area in front of the hide again has always been good for flora and insects.
