Excellent deal. Wish I needed another!

My edit software appears to lose EXIF data too Barrie as with some of the photos on my gallery and entry for this month's competition. Any thoughts would be welcome.

On balance AP concluded the KS1 was the entry level must have camera. I'm happy with that.

The views of others are of llimited value. I bought Pentax because it was right for me. On the same basis I drive a Vauxhall, live in Hull and have a Cocker Spaniel. I could, perhaps, in theory, improve all aspects bur I doubt it. I am more than happy with my choices.

Amateur Photographer (23 May issue) promises a three way comparison of KS1 with Canon EOS 1200D and Nikon D3300. It will be interesting to see how impartial or parisan that is. Hope to get my copy today so further comment may follow.

Some wonderful shots John.

Agree its a disappointment when others cannot understand and apply pretty straightforward competition rules but it would be a shame if length of membership took precedence over photography in winner selection. Such an approach would stifle new blood and weaken the user group over time. Lets hope future winners, judges and competitors can display a basic ability to read, understand and apply rules irrespective of their length of membership.

I should declare a vested interest as one of the newest members!

Thanks John.

Perhaps it could be both! A dog riding an elephant or similar. Not a common sight in Hull

Thanks Stu . That might be it
