Eventually got around to testing with a voltmeter and got a reading of 3.7 v. So if anyone else, like me, discovers a long forgotten LCD632, they are safe to use.

Thanks to all of you for the advice.
I'll test it with a voltmeter as soon as I can get access, just to be safe.

I have an Achiever 632LCD (Cobra D650?) which I quite happily used for film. Can I safely use this again with my K200D & K20D.I know that I'll probably have to use it in manual only but it does give from full to 1/16th power which I did find great for fill-in with film.
Will trigger voltage be a problem?
I very rarely use flash and don't want the expense of buying a P-TTL gun.

Thanks, Guys,
And just in case the post about John sending a limited lens is correct, I've just programmed my computer to churn out a load of spam to be equally divided among all forum subjects.
By this time next year(to quote my favourite TV show) I'll be a millionaire.

Just to satisfy my curiosity, what's the difference in the various members subtitles e.g. Site Veteran, Master, pro-master, etc?

David, any luck so far or do you still have this problem?
Stefan, Don't know what I've done(apart from being stupid and not noticing the settings were 3 under) but I did update the firmware, made the correct choice of settings, replace the card and it all came together.
I even played safe and bought a 20D from Simonkit in case it happens again on something important.
Many thanks to all you guys for the help and suggestions.
All I have to do now is justify to my wife the need for "another b****y camera"
Dave.

Camera arrived safely this morning exactly as described.
Just waiting for the battery to charge and the rain to stop.

Thanks, Simon.

O.K. Geoff, Downloaded but not used. I'll get Gwyn's download and use that. I'm still on v1.0

Mike, the cards came from 7 Day Shop.I've never had a problem with their offerings before. As I said, the cards did record, just couldn't understand why the error message came up after so many exposures and I had reviewed some, if not most, of them.
