We see so many shiny cars these days.
Just thought I would share my brother in laws` mini with you.
Apparently it has not moved for at least 15 years.

Am slightly drunk tonight, was hoping to get away for the weekend to do some serious photography, but work beckons. OH well, another time.

Hi Pete.
For what it`s worth this is my c&c;
Others more worthy than I may have different views.

No1, far to many colors, the dragonflies are lost in the frame.Weakest shot in the series.

No2, Very nearly there but you have cut off the top part of it`s right leg. Pity, it`s almost a good shot.

No3, Potentially this is the best shot for me but there are a few problems;
"vague" cobwebs below and at the end of the leaf, either get rid or make them more obvious in PS.
I think the DOF in this maybe 1 or 2 stops to short? the head and far eye are just not clear enough, also the leaf looks a bit too smooth, however detail in the wings is there.

Apart from that, good efforts

LOL, totally agree with your comments Andrew, it`s a cracking photo. Works well on lots of levels and proves that a GOOD photograph is more than a technical exercise.

A canon user I know took 3000 shots
Allowing 5 seconds to open, view, discard that`s 4hours, just to check the images. Obviously has to much time on his hands.

just one shot would have done it
I did get a good shot, took a total of 5, but then went and formatted the card before I backed up the images . To be honest am to lazy to recover the file. The bear, and me will be back again.

Like the composition, but would prefer a sharp image allover. The softening effect, particularly in the lower left quarter merely makes me question my eyesight.

Was at the zoo yesterday watching a Spectacled bear, the animal was sitting in some water about 20 feet away, very still and peaceful. A Canon user with a big telephoto came up and started shooting, must have taken at least a hundred shots in 5 minutes, nearly woke the bear up.
Perhaps I was just jealous.
