Had this come out last week I could have made my 1st competition entry, unfortunately cannot get back to what would have been a perfect location for a weeks. Oh well will have to wait for a more suitable time.

On the matter of movement, you can get grips to hold the flower steady. Alternatively put a garden cane in the ground and tie the stem to it with a plant tie to keep the flower steady.

But at the end of the day I'm not sure weather this is a picture of a deer which has a nice house behind it or a picture of a house which happens to have a deer on the lawn - the picture has a split personality.
Still at least I have finnally managed to post an image.

Different sizes of holder hold different sizes of filters.
Once you decide which size of filter you want get a cheap holder of ebay.
The larger the filter size, the less chance of vignetting for a given lens, however prices of filters increase steeply as they get larger.
You should remember to get lens adaptors, these screw onto the filter thread of your lens then the filter holder atatches to the lens adaptor.
Have used these a few times and am happy to reccommend.
I tend to use cheap ebay filters, however you can spend much more on genuine Cokin or Lee, you pays your money and takes your choice
