The great thing about the Pentax range is that there is a lot of backwards compatibility. Here is a chart that helps link Only M42 lenses need an adapter.

Plus if you search through the lens section of the forum there constant discussions on the merits of older lenses on dslr's

Another vote for Alan. Its worth noting that who ever you use if there are parts needed Pentax is very very slow at supplying them!

As with all machines there are bits of them that you rarely look at or adjust.

An example of this for me is the custom image. I shoot jpeg and have the image set to natural.

Does anyone have use the other options? Do you change the setting regularly and does it really make a difference?

I am happy tobe used as an example

I am following this through because I feel that I am part of a community here. That is why I contribute to plus membership. I have looked at your examples and would like to make the following observations.

Some of the sites you mention are transient sites where you move through the white area quickly. Google you scan for the reference you want, on you tube you focus on the video.

On Wikipedia there is so much text across the whole screen the white does not dominate the viewing experience.

I use computers all the time at work for extracting information. I do come across this problem elsewhere but not often. To rectify the situation I have print out the material.

Well done, David. A huge improvement with clean lines and so easy to read!
I agree that the site is generally cleaner and easier to read. Unfortunately as I said before the background is too white and I find it very uncomfortable to read.

I am sorry but the white is too much. I am finding that it is hard to read the site in comfort . I have had detached retina issues and this creates floaters. On white screens they appear as a curtain to peer through. On slightly duller backgrounds I have no problems.

He parked his caravan next to mine at Robin Hoods bay this weekend. Strange how you meet up again, not seen him for ages.

He was dressing up again as a steampunk at Whitby. Looks very healthy. Said he might pop onto the forum again.

Try Alan Marlow link He provides an excellent service at a reasonable price.

A number of members have used him, including me.

Pentax are apparently slow to deliver parts.
