take a photography course?

The local college is offering the Introduction to Photoshop and Digital Photography NCFE level 1 in the evenings.

Three questions:
Has anybody done this course? and if so what did you think of it?

Is an intorduction to photoshop useful when I have no intention of purchasing the full product as I have just got Elements 7?

Would I be better off saving my money and joining a local camera club?

Those of you that have met me will agree there is a certain resemblance to my avatar.

I am always expected to have the camera 'just in case' there is a good shot or we need to record something. The look of dismay when a pearl bordered fritillary poses in front of us can be quite disarming. My excuse of not having the right lens to photograph the golden eagle dosen't wash either.

The answer to this has been to buy a compact my other half can carry and snap away with. Now when I carry my camera and take a simlar shot to hers I am accused of 'copying' and 'showing off'!!

Look up Sigma User in a search engine. There is a forum similar to this pentax one dealing with all Sigma related gear. I have used it when considering sigma lenses in the past.

I wonder if SRS wish to send someone to meet us? We could then persuade of the the need for a good Pentax shop in Yorkshir.
