Proposed Pentaxuser forum meet Thorp Perrow 26/27 Sep

To continue from the August Pentax meet thread, it has been suggested that a possible meeting place could be Thorp Perrow Arboretum, Bedale North Yorkshire. One thing to consideration for this venue is that they only allow amateur photographers, images cannot be sold without prior permission of the owners. The site has a lot to offer, from trees as the name suggests, ornamental lake, hawks, meerkats, pergolas, good paths for the less firm of feet and a coffee shop

I'm afraid my only free weekend is the 26/27 September. Any views or comments greatly received.

As I missed the last meet, last minute problems! Thorp Perrow Arboretum sounds like a good Idea.

The suggested weekend is OK by me and I'll try and attend.

If it's agreed, that is.
Cheers, HG

Sound Idea Graham, does this get me out of organising one later

I can only do saturday 26th though

One thing I would suggest is you contact them to ensure they are happy with group meets.

Nice to see the interest, I will give them a ring today and check if this is ok. I just floated the idea first.

When you ring them can you ask them if they know how you get there on public transport please?

I tried to contact them today but just encountered the dreaded answer machine. I have emailed them in the hopes of a seedy reply. You never know miracles can happen

You can get the train to Northallerton which isn't far off. Someone should be able to give you a lift from there. If you're definitely coming then we'll be able to arrange something.

I have just checked the trains and I could get to Northallerton station by 9am or 9.30am so if someone would be willing to pick me up from there and drop me back again after you can count me in Would prefer the Saturday if possible? Thanks

I'll be passing that way so no problem. Think this is looking like a fairly firm date for the Saturday.
