I've used blurb based on John's recommendation here and I have to say the book actually beat my expectations, the quality is really superb.

I'd have no hesitation in using them again.

I thought you had been offered the lens, not buying it on ebay.

Most people know what a lens is worth (though some slip through the net) so, as the saying goes, if it looks too good to be true it probably is.

Here's a good place to see how lenses are regarded, both Pentax and 3rd party lenses. Don't take much notice of the prices, as they are an indication rather than accurate.

Take it. Then have a look how much you could sell it for!

Great shot that, Alan!

The 12-24 was (and probably still is) on my list of lenses to aspire to. I take some architecture shots, but use the wide angles mainly for landscapes. I have just bought (because it was so cheap) a 2nd hand Sigma 10-20 which I will get my hands on in 2 weeks. I have heard about the wide end distortion, but I suspect most of my shots will be taken in the 12-16 range.

I can't wait to try out the lens. If I'm disappointed, then the 12-24 will fire up my shopping list, once I've tried a kind young man's 12-24, of course!

Sorry, my mistake, no soft pouch is included with this lens.
Lets hope Jessops ignore the very abusive email I sent them yesterday asking where my soft pouch was from when I bought a 17-70mm off them 6 months ago.
