18-125??
Or better still get a top quality waterproof pocket digital and never be without it, (easy to hide too).

Pentax and Tamron have an 18-250, which seems to give good results, and would be my ideal travel lens if I could only take a single lens with me.
I agree I have read some good reports on this lens I have the 70/300 and have some lovely photos from it as well.
Hi, I am looking at purchasing a wider range zoom lens to take on holiday with me. I am traveling for 6 months, so want a versatile lens that won't take up loads of space. I was hoping to get away with only one lens. I thought that something along the lines of a 18-125 would be good, but I can't seem to find anything in this range in a pentax fit.
Sigma makes the 18-125mm and Pentax a 18-250mm (a rebadged Tamron). At first I was very sceptical about the DA18-250mm but 3 weeks ago I bought one and have not been disappointed. It is quite sharp, but be prepared for some vignetting which can be photoshopped away.
