will not effect any of your photography or does anyone have prove that it does?
Doesn't the extra wiring on the sensor and other overheads compromise the still image? or was I dreaming I read that somewhere?

I think it stays there until the recipient reads it.

so satisfying to hold and "fondle"...

The noisy shutter on my K10D is positively embarrassing at weddings
The camera virtually jumps off the gorillapod on multi-frame with a remote.
I've only ever hankered for a K20 for noise control and focus adjustment, but now I'm thinking I should hold out for the K7...rats

I've ben using Macs since 92 and every one of them has been utterly reliable. Never, ever needed to reinstall an OS. I had a period of PC use (about 6 years) and they constantly needed attention and at least 1 reinstall each. Relentless nag screens and Windows asking me if I really wanted to move the mouse, and not letting me escape etc.. Don't start me on Viruses, the analogy of a house with no locks was perfect.
The Mac is a thing of beauty which makes me and my clients feel all rosy whenever we use it. That is priceless.
I have had experience of IT guys who couldn't be bothered to learn their trade, forcing their limited knowledge onto staff and students. The bottom line is a lot of industries use Macs and students need to be taught on them too. IT need to stop moaning and do their job properly. I'm not talking about you lonegroover, I don't know you from Adam, looks like you were unlucky.

The iPad is a lovely little gadget - perfect for a coffee table, but I won't be getting one.

Thanks Prieni,
Well done Hyram!

The Swan was quite brightly lit by street lights. I tried several shots but this left the best, ethereal swan shapes. It was a beautiful still night

I run it using PENTAX REMOTE Assistant 3.app on the iMac OSx 10.5.8 and K10D
It's fine but USB is too slow. Client's like to see their shots coming up, but after a few shots to give them an idea, I unhook it

I have just finished a site to showcase this self catering lodge in the Peak District
As the site is very visual and all about Derbyshire's attractions, I suggested they run a photo competition.
So contact them and send in your best Peak District image, I guess Hathersage and Hope Valley images will go down well, but any generic image will stand a chance.
The prize is a case of Champagne! and they will ask to display your shot on the site. I will make sure you are properly recognised and I'll post the winning image here.
No watermarked images please.
Good luck!
