I have read the entire piece and its comments, but apart from that I know nothing more about this issue than the original copyright law.
It strikes me that there is no possible excuse for using an image that doesn't belong to you. IT MUST BE PROTECTED BY DEFAULT! as is currently the case.
What possible excuse can there be for creating a law which condones the appropriation of someone else's work for your own ends?
If it's not yours and you haven't asked the owner, then it's stealing.

I think it's bloomin 'orrible! Really overdone.
Looks like tonemapping and fake lens blur and all sorts of other over processing... did I say I didn't like it?
She looks like a lovely old stick tho'

Yes the fractal was a plugin.
I used to call this sort of thing 'stirring pixels' - it was a piece of cake to get something out of PhotoShop, but then the learning just went on and on!
Like you hefty1, I feel I'm finally getting the hang of it

My first version was the only software I bought with my first Mac 650.
I went into Dixons and said I was an illustrator, what have you got - the spotty yoof showed me Corel draw on a PC - it ws truly abysmal. I then went to the Mac store and was blown away! it was like fast forwarding 10 years!
I finally stumped up £4500 for a mac, monitor, scuzzy drive, scanner and PhotoShop 2.5 here's my first effort (just trying stuff out), looks really cheesy now ha ha

BTW, the copyright was put on in 97 for my first website.

Been using it since 2.5 ('92). My fav version was 6 but as I have to handle other people's work, I've had to upgrade. For several years I stuck with 6 and let my team convert the new files but I've finally caved in.
I was mortified when they bought in layers and multiple undos etc. before that, it was easy to rise above the average because everything was so tricky. Now there's a pesky button or plugin for everything and everyone and his wife has a dodgy version on their machine

another film K7 vs 7D
Is the Pentax just making a better job of it? It is taking 3 closer and closer attempts before registering focus. The 7D could just be going, 'ahh that'll do...beep'

Right, well, the official advice is: warm the belt in hot water (thanks Ken), Put your foot on it and give it a good stretch ,
and use a copper pipe slid over the pinion as a lever.
Good ol' Hotpoint - what a marvelous design

Definitely no adjustment anywhere, I'll slacken the motor screws too.
I guess this was an economy model

Right! once more unto the breech dear friends....

Anybody had to put a new belt on a T14 dryer?
I'm told it's a tight fit, but the entire (semi dismantled) chassis is bucking under the strain of trying to get this belt over the motor pinion. That can't be right can it? I'm backing off 'tll someone can help me
I promise my next thread will be about beer... sorry pentax

how are you finding the speed? I haven't found a setting or cable combination which made it usable in any situation where I need to be able to fire quickly - children... and, well anyone under the age of 70 really
