I dare say though that there are an increasing number of photographers who would share a lot of those mantras though....

(but no, I'm not one of them)

I was scrolling down to say the last one is one of the most fantastic shots I've seen all year, but looks like that's been well covered already!

Having a common problem with a couple of my 35mm bodies.

These are aperture only cameras. Both are suddenly now reading under exposed even in high light levels.

The result is the mirror stays up and the shutter open for a huge amount of time.

Everything works OK on manual or bulb.

Not a battery issue as replaced them to be sure.

Not a lens issue as its common across different lenses.

My guess is its something to do with contacts on the mount as on one of the models it occasionally works, and sometimes changing the aperture can kick it into life.

Any ideas and suggestions for a clean up/fix?

Cheers

I remember back in the day having a 5mp point and shoot digital. That was quite advanced at the time!

Took a shot I liked set at 3mp, got it printed at 8 x 12 size. Still got it today, still looks good.

As you say, for 90 percent of us we've probably got about 10mp going spare for lost most of our work!

Looks to me like:

1. The Ltd has the most pleasing out of focus areas, to my eye, and the least purple fringing

2. The SMC has less pop in the colours (although perhaps the clouds came over on this one?) but is otherwise excellent

3. The other two have vivid colours but lots of fringing.

Thanks for sharing!

It's really interesting to see just how different they all are and the extent to which so much of what we now see in the photography world is so heavily edited.

See, I'd have no.2 on my wall, but none of the others, but that's simply because my eye finds it jarring to look at things so obviously unrealistic.

Thanks for sharing

Ffordes have had a break in at their store. Clearly somebody who knew what they were after as they've taken an enormous amount of Leica gear.

Details here

I imagine these scummers will soon have to resort to shifting that much gear on ebay, so don't get caught out...
