It does say "Choice of two preview functions (digital/optical)", so I'm guessing it's the same system as the recent DL2/K100 etc, where you either get a snapshot shown on the screen, or it closes down the aperture for you to see.
The ISO range of 100-1600 is the same as the Sony a100, so I'm (again) guessing that it's the same sensor as that camera - let's hope the different processing keeps the noise under control.
Hang on; sensor based anti-shake, 10Mp Sony Sensor... has anyone actually checked to see if Sony own Samsung?
How many hours now?

I think Peter copied it from the 'Steves Digicam' site, as linked in the OP. He did say "why is there no mention of it on the Pentax's own site?". If it is the official Press Release that has been leaked, then the mention of Pentaprism in one section and Pentamirror in another, would seem a bit odd. But we wait with baited breath...

Does anyone know if this is actually accurate, or cobbled together pieces from different forums - I've seen most of this in various places in the last few days... If it's all true, then I'll echo Matts comments - Wow!

Glad you found what you were looking for, let us know how you and Mr. Stargazer get on with it.
I don't see you having any problems with your current lenses fitting, so you shouldn't have to spend out on anything else other than a memory card, if that's not included. The DL2 will come with the 'kit' zoom lens, so you'll have this wide angle to short telephoto zoom, and your longer zooms too.
If you've got any questions once you have the camera, there are many knowledgeable Pentax Users on here that will be only too happy to offer answers.
Have fun, and don't forget you can just as easily get your prints done at Boots from a digital camera as from film, so you can still get excited about that!
All the best,
Dan

I'd try ringing a Jessops store, they should be able to check on their stock computer to see if there are any still available in any of their shops, and then transfer it to your nearest one.
If you need to get memory cards, try www.7dayshop.com, where a 1Gb one will cost about £12 + postage.
I'd be reluctant to get one from the US at that price as you may get stung for import duty and VAT on top of that price.
Jessops have the K110, which is basically the same as the DL (I think), but with better image quality (from what I've seen on online reviews, haven't looked at one myself), at £399.
All the best,
Dan

Already been putting aside my pennies! Got a few spare, so if you give us all a heads up when you put the bits on ebay, I might be tempted...
And "cowabunga!"???
Anyway, I wanted 24bit ADC and 16bit output, so I'm a bit disappointed.
Roll on Thursday!

I would be very, very happy, but can't help thinking that I'd be setting myself up for a big disappointment if I expected this feature on the camera. But I can hope. I'd say that's about the only thing on the D that really needed improvement, the 6 frame buffer, so any improvement on this would be great.
Ooh, I'm excited again. Only problem is, I'm going on holiday soon and I'm going to miss most of the excitement. I'll have to find an internet cafe somewhere.

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_3&products_id=8158
from Seven Day Shop, obviously, only £9.99 + p&p. This looks like an updated model, but it has the 6.5v output required for my istD, assume the DL has the same requirement. Mine's been fine, although only really used it when sensor cleaning and updating firmware.
