They are right! Too much spare time. However, it must have taken day's or weeks to have it all work right.

Hello to you also, from the Good ole' USA. I use a Pentax K100D and are still learning all the time. Take Images with it, play with it, and see what it all does. If you don't know, ask. I did and learned a few things.

It's not necessary to log out, why not stay logged in?
I tend to agree with John. I have never had to "log in" after I leave the Pentax User Site. It always comes back up and never had to log back in. I see no point in it.

If I shut this System down when not in use, and then restart, it always comes back up on the screen the way it was before. I was told that shutting down your System at night and then restarting it all the time is not really good for it. Restarting is when it draws the most power and it's not really a whole lot. I suggest, when you are done, just leave well enough alone and stay logged in. It should come back the way you left it.

Kind Regards
Les

Greetings from PA

Finally, I see that there is someone else here from the good ole' USA. I would just love to travel over to London. That City must be one heck of a place to visit. There is so much to see that you probably don't know where to start. The Tower of London would be first on my list. Piccadilly Circus would be another. You won't see it all in just 3 day's, I'm sure.

I have been in Virginia a number of times. It's a wonderful State to be in. Lot's of History there, not to mention the Mountains of the Blue Ridge. Since I just love to "snoop around" in Historic places with my Pentax K100D, Virginia is just full of places to see.

Be well

Hello to all out there:

Since I'm a fairly new member here, I have Posted a number of Images that were taken with my K100D and have received responses on them, which I have always appreciated, and always will, be them good or bad.

There is some things I've noticed here on Pentex User. If you want to "Follow" someone's Images you really can't do that. Also, if I want to include a Image along with my comment, just how can this be done? I've clicked on the "Image" button, but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong, if anything?

Your help is always welcome

Greetings from the USA!

I, also, like to walk around just like you. I take along my Pentax K100D and shoot what-ever looks interesting. I'm still learning a whole lot about photography and have lots more to go. Even though the K100D has been discounted, and replaced by another model, I still love to use this Camera. I have no need to get a better one.

I'm very cautious on using my K100D out in the rain. Usually, I don't do it. Water and electronics do not mix well.

Kind regards,
Les

Well, Hello there!

Would you believe that I was in Wellington, NZ a long time ago? While serving in the US Navy our Destroyer pulled into Wellington for a 4 day R&R. I will always remember how friendly you guy's were. I really enjoyed my stay there. We called it "Trip Down Under."

Kind Regards,
Les

Greetings from the USA.

Without going into a whole lot of detail, I tried using a cheap IR Filter with my K100D a while back. Never could get the hang of it. Pictures came out darn stupid, so I stopped trying.

Would using a Hoya R72 Filter make any difference with my K100D or do you have to have it modified for that, which I don't want to do. Infrared has always been an interest for me, but just never could get it right.

Regards,
Les
