Nice shot,I like the small catch light in the eye, also think the setting is just right, not sure about HDR, though.

Looks fine to me, no sign of safety fence.
I used to do a lot of shoots ,for my local motor club, using my trusted spotmatic II, way back in the late 1970’s, I joined the motor club, the advantage being, I used to sign the liability waver, so was able to go the action side of any safety barriers. Would not be able to move fast enough these days.
All images then, were in b&w.

Not a fan of gulls, But a great shot, well timed.
Where I live, my car gets regularly covered in that stuff running down the object they are perched on.
More potent that battery acid.
