Try a copier to SD card device. It`s also possible to view negatives as well with an adaptor. I bought a used one from LCE for £50 and it`s quite good. Show them on the PC monitor or TV, easier than a projector and screen.

Beer!!!! Just taking the neck out of a bottle of Islay 12 year old single malt. Like pouring angels tears down your throat.. Not the best but...

I tend to leave the DA*300 permanently on the K5 but i always take the K20 with a Tamron 28-300. I have the K20 and tamron with me all the time. It goes with me every day to work just because you never know what is round the corner. It`s the huge difference in IQ that led me to post in the first instance. It`s convenience with the Tamron zoom but the cost in IQ is too much. In many ways I guess I`m being spoiled by the amazing IQ of the DA* 300.

Thanks very much fot the listing. I will stick with Pentax lenses and probably end up with the 55-300 DA if only for the clutch on the focus system. I often want to make a small alteration to the focus on the Tamron but of course that can`t happen without switching to MF.

I agree it`s a handy one for walkabout shots.

I keep looking to replace the Tamron 28 - 300 `cos it doesn`t quite seem to be up to it at the long end. Was wondering about the 55-300 DA but there are a few FA 100-300 on Ebay. Just a comparison I`m trying to mull over.

Ha ha seasickness! never suffer myself but Iv`e been with a hardened matelot who really did go green round the gills. It`s a crazy thing `cos I get really car sick and as for fairground rides. Never, I hold the bags.

Another way to bring on a bout is to pour some veggie soup from about a foot. Sure fire way to get someone to empty out!

Hi Barrie, thinking about you and hope all goes well. Hope you get the parts for the DA300 too. How did you manage to stuff the original one. Just curious so I don`t do the same.

Cedric D is a dyed in the wool Yorkshireman. He says it like it is, calls a spade a spade and enjoys Skye over Mull He He. It was a private saying between wife and I. I hope to get back to Skye even if I only get sprinkled over the ground. Getting back to the OP though I will let it known on the forum if I go back for hols. Seriously though, back to the OP I had a ME Super `cos my mates dad was a pro photographer ex RAF. His choice of camera for "Private use" was a Pentax so I guess it was my natural choice. So from the ME to a K10, K20 and a K5.

That`s better must have been the Old Bob.
