i remember going to these many years ago - there was one regularly in Tolworth but the amount and quality of Pentax stuff they had was in my experience a bit disappointing with little recourse to the seller if things went wrong. I suspect eBay and online stores such as ffords (with good images of whats for sale and excellent return policies) have pretty much put an end to them.

Is this like the 645 lenses where you move the focus ring forward or backward for AF and MF? Have you tried that?

So i thought i'd take advtantage of this. I popped into SRS the day after these were first announced. As soon as i got thru the door one of the staff came up to me saying he had something for me. I was a bit surprised to see him then produce my daughter's plastic toy ladybug magnifying glass which she had lost there on our last visit. I remember at the time being mortified by how badly behaved she and her brother were but i guess the Cayman family made an impression and the ladybug found its was into the lost property box. Anyway i was so surprised i almost forgot to pick up the 24-70 i'd gone in for, but luckily i remembered before i left!

Thanks SRS - your customer service is superb. The only downside was that when i got home i had to explain how the ladybug had been found and i was pretty quickly busted for having bought a new lens

On my mz-s the remote terminal cover turned to a gooey mess. Pity they didn't make the covers as well as they did in the days of the LX!

I see lots of comments about 36MP being too many, which I understand, but is this really so much of an issue? Every Pentax dslr I have had has had the option of shooting at a lower resolution (and I'm not talking about cropping down to the apsc image size). Presumably the k1 will allow full frame coverage at resolutions that are less demanding on our hard drives.....
