I bought this from Amazon last December. Was buying it as a spare as I already have one that is well used.

Been on the camera once to test that it works and been in box ever since hence I thought I may as well sell it.

This is the DA, quick shift, metal mount version. Do not confuse with cheaper DAL version.

Comes with box, hood, caps (front and rear), Pentax S80-160 lens case, operating manual, serial number card and other paperwork. Should there be any problems I will endeavour to help resolve these with Amazon where possible.

£225 inc UK RMSD. Payment by cheque or bank transfer, item sent on clearance of funds.

If you live near Sheffield then happy to deal face to face.

George

Some pics from the British Touring Cars at Donnington on Sunday. The weather was very changeable from bright sunshine to cloud hence some of the pictures look like they were taken on a different day.

K5 & Sigma 100-300

I cann't open the picture (my pc software probably)

I've seen banding when using a polariser shot with a wide lens not sure if that helps.

A lot could happen before next year, new pentax DSLR, DA560 ?

Theres no doubt the DA* 300 is a cracker and I lens I would like but cannot justify. Certainly a nice choice for larger birds and animals plus a lot smaller/lighter. Coupled with the K5 in lower light/wet conditions makes it a nice combination.

I'm not sure if you'd get much benefit of the 18-200 over the kit lenses other than changing lenses less. I would stick with quality and buy the best or save up for the best you can afford.

Thanks for your comments.

From what I've gleened elsewhere I'll probably try the craner curves area. Probably with the K5 and Sigma 150-500 and have the Pentax 50-135 on the K7 and leave it at that.

David, if you get a chance to post any feedback on the Saturday night that would be appreciated, I'll do a further internet seach then as well. As I'll be with 3 other people the photography will take second place most of the time but it would be nice to get a couple fo decent shots.

I'm off to Donnington on 15th for the British Touring Cars.

Anyone been before ? Any tips for good spots for viewing and taking pictures ?

A quick search and the Craner Curves and Old Hairpin seem popular but Donnington has had a lot of work recently so I don't know if this is still the case.

Camments appreciated.
