Thanks for your detailed tips Simon, some great pointers for me on Sunday. I may take the new 1.4 converter with me for a run out, I gave in and bought one as well ! Hopefully will catch up with you at some point in the future.

Cadwell Park looks interesting as not too far from Sheffield by the looks of it, I'll keep an eye on their events.

I may (subject to weather) be going to Oulton Park this Sunday to watch the British Touring Cars.

Never been to Oulton Park before, Although I'll have my camera I anticipate I'll be watching the racing more than taking photo's.

Anyone been and got any tips for spots to watch it from and/or take pictures.

I believe it will be busy on the day so would aim to get there for the pit walk and then to watch the racing. Thoughts so far were on the inside at Cascade/Dentons or Knickerbrook.

Any thoughts ? (anyone else going ?)

Nice set Simon, No 3 is my favourite as well.

I like the low angle and the fact there's nothing to distract the eye behind it, makes the car more prominent.

5 & 9 also appeal, being a bit different.

This seems to work well David.

No 1 stands out for me, the colours/lighting are very nice followed by the spider and dog.


In no3 I would have liked to have seen a portrait version with more space above and below with a bit more of the stalk.

This looks good, I have the 5-15 but if I'm honest am not overly impressed
With it and tend to use the standard prime which I think is great. Would appreciate

I think you maybe trying to write to 2 cards when there's only 1 in the camera. Check the setting by using the info button and looking at the memory card option icon. Just tried it with one card and 'save to both' it brings up the same message.
