Impressed with the Sigma turn around, my 85 and 70-200 OS were sent last Thursday (delivered Friday) for the lens mount to be replaced. Both lenses returned today (< 1 week) with a new mount. Only cost to me was the initial posting (still £29 for insured to cover both lenses)

Never tried them on the K1 before mount change which I'm glad about because there's very little space between the 70-200 and the camera body so I would imagine the old mount would have exerted quite a bit of pressure on the body.

George

I presume the vignetting gets worse the wider you go ? ie 55mm @ f4.5 would be a worst case scenario ??

Agree with David, the lighting is the best on this one.

The last one seems a little muted on my screen, may look a bit better with brightening up slightly with a small touch of contrast/vibrance

Managed to get down to Silverstone for the British Touring Car Championship with the family.

Some shots from race day ( all with K1 and Sigma 100-300, first outing with the K1). A lot of the cars racing will be heavy crops.

Good to see you have another MX-1 Andrew.

A fine set, Menorca is a lovely place.

A nice set David, it does appear to be a great little camera.

Thanks for the comments,

Some look rather highly saturated to my eye (especially the F3 car in no 7).
You could be right there Mike, the blues / greens look a little bright, more so than they do in lightroom before exporting so I probably need to check my settings.

Yes, that is superb! Was it a chance grab, or did you wait around for the moment to occur?
Bit of both really, shot from the hairpin as seen in No 4 looking up the right hand side of the track. I was there earlier in the day and didn't see any planes, stopped off for the last race on the way back to the car and there were about 4 planes that took off in a 30 minute, I missed the first one so waited to see if any more would come, fortunately they did and this shot happened to coincide with the cars coming through as well.

Went to Donington Park for the British GT and BRDC British F3 racing. There was supporting action from the Ginetta GT5, VW racing cup and the mixed bag of Saloon and Sports car trophy.

For once it was warm (when I normally go to Donington its windy, cold and often raining at some point !)

Here's a few from the day :

Well done with these, Silverstone not being the best track to get up close either
It's tough to get clean shots from a low angle with all the debris fencing but I was relatively pleased with the results.
