Best and easiest way to do this is setup a backdrop with some cheap Chinese stands in the corner of the room somewhere. Get the guests to come to you they will be far more willing to pose, maybe get some cheap hats/props and have fun and you will get some great images. It's easier to get willing people to pose and when other guests see how fun it is they too will want to take part. Use your 17-50 with flash set to 1/60 f/8 adjust flash and ISO to get great exposure.

Then the guests will be used to you and then you can go around the room capturing some candids

I've recently started to use Amazon Drive not to be confused with Amazon Photo storage.

You can try Amazon Drive free for three months and then it's £55 per year. It's unlimited file storage so anything can be stored on it. Uploading is faster than One Drive, Google Drive and Sropbox and is compatible with Synology Cloud services.

When I'm on the road I save my raws on my MacBook in the Amazon folder which then uploads to Amazon Drive when connected to the internet. Then when I get home the RAW files are already waiting in my synology NAS.

Has Apples Photos exported the files as jpegs?

The file format for WD is irrelevant its a hard drive it doesn't care what file type it is it just writes and stores it.

Where are you importing the RAW files from and where is Photos storing those RAW files as these are the files you need to backup to your WD hard drive.

Do use Lightroom this is a function within it

Did anyone else notice the photographer was using the Pentax 645z???

So far I have uploaded 2008-2009 which was pretty much when I started I have hopefully improved since then

First year I didn't buy anything. I was hoping to buy a tethered cable I just can't get my head around £30 for a USB cable. They had no offers on given they where selling them directly and some guy therebsaid they where going up in price by 10% so that's the discount sigh.

That sigma 85mm Art lens I played with is huge though
