If youre doing like formlike then you really should include the tamron 15-30 as an equibalent in the other mounts and then you will see a significant price difference. To be honest the price difference between the tamron 15-30 and the Pentax is quiet simply price goiging by Pentax. Im all for a bit of markup but nearly a £1000 is obscene.

The 27" 5k machine is superb. I upgraded mine from 8 to 16gb by buying original apple ram from an eBay seller who was upgrading 5k machines to 32gb. Think I paid around £25 for two 4gb sticks and they where exactly the same memory as installed in my machine.

I only have an i5 model and it handles Lightroom fine. I do find the hard drive to be a bit of a bottleneck when exporting a large batch of images.

Is the lens slightly front focussed? The front of the brick wall looks all to be sharp up to the face then soft from the cheek onwards...

Some fab stuff in there and whilst I agree the more you shoot the better you get I think you're putting some pressure on yourself and posting a few images that fall a little short of the really good stuff you have posted.

I think to become a really good photographer you have to understand what makes a really good image and why it makes a really good image and then your galleries will really stand out. As I said though some fab stuff in there

Only ones I used with a built in filter was an old Tamron 400mm f/4 and I couldn't see a difference with the filter in place or not.

Never use filters. Why spend £100s on a lens to stick a £20 pice of glass in front of it. Ive never broken a front element of a lens either but I always use lens hoods...

Oh and I must also add the importance of titling and correctly key wording your images. If you are doing portraits for example then your keywords would be type of portrait, location, area and your name. And then include this in the alt tags so search engines can pick up your images.

I use three different web platforms for my three main areas of photography expertise.

Wedding photography i use the format.com platform. This is really easy to setup and SEO has been really easy for this platform and my wedding site is on the front page of google for my local area. Format is limited by cost to how many images are hosted. This is my least worked on site and I don't have to worry about backups. It is however difficult to move this website to another web host due to how it is setup.

My music photography is hosted by a web host using Koken platform which is free and is great for hosting large number of images. It is not as SEO friendly as the format platform and does require extra work with backups but is easy to move to another host if required.

My final website is for my portrait photography business and this is Wordpress and hosted on web host again. Wordpress is really flexible and easy to backup and move. Wordpress is fab for SEO.

I also use the Adobe Portdolio system for some niche photography and this is very easy to make and and has great SEO.

Social media I have different pages on Flickr, instagram and Facebook for all my different photography hats. All social media channels are built with being funnels to my websites and assisting SEO, everything you do with social media and your websites must be done with SEO in mind.

Finally don't underestimate the importance of registering your websites with all the search engine advertising pages like yell.com this can massively impact your SEO ranks on google yahoo etc... it's painstakingly time consuming to register at all the search engines but if you are looking to make a career from photography then SEO is your primary goal
