Have run a netbook running Lightroom for nearly a year now, added an extra gig of memory so 2 gig in total.

Speed is not so much an issue, however screen size is. Due to the window positioning in LR the image you see on the screen is very small, so it is difficult to check images for sharpness.

I took mine to the festivals last year & had a few images rejected for softness from the agencies, this was due to the small screen.

If you are shooting for hobby I would say get one. Mine fits in my bag & is ideal for backing up, at a festival I shoot between 32 to 40 gig of images per day so between bands when I can I upload memory cards to my netbook, which now has a 500gig hd installed.

Maybe interested in the body & grip only if price is right, looking at getting a k-x but could be tempted for another GX20

Just to throw another option into the mix i use the Lowe Pro Classified 200AW. Holds 2 bodies with grips attached, will easily hold a body with 70-200mm 2.8.

Has a zip top opening for rapid body removal, the inside is coated like a luxury bag, also has a big flappy lid.

Best of all it doesn't scream camera bag/

Looks like it is now going to go through the wash, think if you live outside the UK this won't affect you??

Check out the section 43 website.

Thanks Mr Mandelson for another cracking example of how not to make up laws that suit large corporations...

If I am shooting an interior gig & I know I will be changing lenses, then that lens will be ready under the stage with no caps on & hood on, stood on its hood.

For festivals then the spare lens stays in its bag until needed.

Why can't lens manufactures coat the lenses the same way Apple does with its Iphone???

Have always used the 7dayshop batteries & they have been very good. Have used them from 1400mah to 2300mah. Have never run them down in my flash!!!

Just ordered 8 of these purely for flash use.
