The L bracket is designed for arca swiss heads and allows easy removal for moving from portrait to landscape whilst keeping the head locked in place. They're also good for panoramics as the camera sits directly on top of the head,
I have a K1 but before that a K3ii and I used one of these:

More pricey is prime: link
The L bracket has a standard tripod screw in the base but not the side, I use this for screwing in a rapid strap though.
On the K1, bargain L bracket for it

I had actually looked at the two you have mentioned, and have now ordered the second one
Thanks
Adrian

I'm therefore after one to fit my K+F TC2534 tripod, which has a standard 14" attachment.
I have viewed many, and am a bit confused
Many confirm to be arca swiss compatible, so my query is would such a bracket be compatible with my tripod?
Any recommendations?
Thanks
Adrian

Does bounce, swivel, zoom.
Just like this one

If of interest I can give it the once over (hasn't been used since I purchased a Metz flash).

So what should they have used to help find the cause of the crash? The camera is only a tool in this instance, I was just pleased to see that the production team had decided to use a Pentax, not necessarily the NTSB.
Many of the episodes / crashes occurred before the digital age, that it makes sense that Pentax film cameras makes an appearance.

I now know that the insurance doesn't cover this, and Ashai Photo eventually got back to me; they referred me to Johnsons, back to square one
Whilst the K5iis is still a fine camera which does all that I want, I believe that a K3 makes better sense economically, especially with the 2 year warranty.
Sadly my pockets aren't deep enough to fix the K5iis and get a K3.

Thankfully all in current working order.
If my tenant's content insurance won't cover this, the quote to fix from Johnsons is the best part of £250.
Or spend a bit more and get a refurbished K3 from SRS with a 2 year warranty.

The K3 is very tempting, any thoughts anybody?

I'm currently exploring my landlord's home contents insurance scheme, so fingers crossed.

Thanks roberrl, that worked.
This screen seems the same as the previous link from the US.
I wouldn't trust myself to even think about replacing it myself
PS: I suspect that they will be getting quite a lot of new work as result of the threads on this forum, so "be quick"
Johnsons quoted £199+VAT.
Suffice to say I won't be sending it there

Firmware updated to v1.40
This is what is displayed on the LCD when the camera is switched on
Zoom out a little and the all is good, zoom back in and the same is displayed.
Have remounted the lens, no difference.
My understanding was that the K3 only required a firmware update for the 55-300 PLM to work.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
