As mentioned earlier, i eventually had some time to go out with my camera to take some photos today. all photos showed here are taken using the 1.7X TC with my DA* 50-135mm/2.8 lens. i have retained EXIF, which only shows the information of DA* lens. this is the reason i have to take some new samples, other than selecting uncertain samples from my previous mixed photos.

Do you have any images taken with this setup?
Not the best example, but the only one in my portfolio that I have added the information to, this was definitely the Teleplus 1.7x SHQ.

you may ask the SRS. they used to stock this lens and cleared them all just months ago at a very tempting price. it looks like a good investment if this one went at the asking price

i think the main reason for updating K-5 is to change the image of poor QA. Pentax has not always been too bad in QA. K-5 is probably packed with too much new revolutions and there was no enough time for testing. particularly, some issues is related to the Sony sensor. back to the K10 era, there were also some shame, but soon after, the proceeder K20d has become one of most reliable DSLR in Pentax history.

I was so surprised there is no discussion on this, or everyone has been busy on getting used to your K-5. Someone caught some info on the French Pentax website. it showed there is a new DSLR model being introduced, likely to be in Oct. the info has eventually been removed, but there are some screenshot to prove it.

Why is FA 35/2 out of your choices? i have owned all three lenses and would rate based on my preference: FA35 > DA40> FA50. i owned DA40 for a short period of time until i had a chance to grab a FA35. i cannot justify a prime lens with only f2.8. it's nearly a standard lens on a crop sensor DSLR. it's not all bad: sharp even wide open, great colour rendering and contrast.
