This 1.7X TC has no any issue on focus locking. with a SDM lens, the focusing speed has been significantly improved compared with a screw-drive TC. Using 1.7X TC reduces 1 and 1/2 stop aperture, right between 1 stop of 1.5X and 2 stop of 2X. i will upload some sample photos taken with my DA* 50-135mm this weekend

due to the confusing comments in this tread, i would like to clarify this TC is 100% compatible with SDM lenes to work in the SDM drive mode. i have also tried it with my DA 17-70/4 SDM only lens and they worked without any problem.

i have just acquired a 2X AF teleconvertor, which does hunt a while to focus, but it all depends on the light condition. The 1.7X teleplus performances a lot faster than the 2X one with a SDM lens, even in dim light condition.

The lens is in excellent condition and perfectly work with Pentax SDM lenses( have been tested on my DA* 50-135mm and DA 17-70mm).

Price: 175 GBP + postage, Paypal as 'gift' or Bank Transfer. Buyers pay any fees for other payment options.

how is this compared to DA* 60-250mm? is it really cheap as chips? this one in other mounts is no more than this price.
