.... personally, from the pit I've used a 50, and from directly in front a 28-70. That was too long at times, which is another reason I'd like a 24-x.

It may well be that the lens simply works on A, I remember that the first manual I got was fully so, so I had to make the two changes.

UFRaw can also do this:

"crogram filesgimp-2.0binufraw-batch" --wb=camera --exposure=auto --black-point=auto --out-type=jpeg --compression=90 --overwrite %1

Should take about 4-5 pics per minute, depending on disk speed, AV and processor.

what sharpening method, how much, which software are you using?

I'd personally go for the "sharpen the RAW" slightly (USM @ 0.2 or so) and all consistent. The alternative would be to smart-sharpen (i.e. layer masking and only sharpening the Luminosity) the end result...why are they not sharp to start with?

why on earth should it not work? You will need to set the camera to allow the aperture ring to work, but that's it.

I find it expensive for a 1.7.

there's also some foam on PDM's site (German, I know, but I do speak the language) which looks very interesting indeed. Plastazote or Neopolen.... but it's not pre-cut.

Did this ever happen? I'll be in Cov in April and have some spare time... and would be interested in setting something up. I think I might have to have the "full" kit with me, too....

lol.

I quite like my N900 and the new Bamboo wotsit I got today makes photo editing really, really easy.

understood. I need to think about this and I have something more important to do right now... I will come back on this.

we have a spyder through the photoclub at work and both laptops I use have been calibrated. Much better.
The Dell 17 and 19 monitors are awful, though, and I don't understand quite why....

All machines are running Windows 7.
