Thank you hefty1! The Pentax PH-RBB 52 is easy to find, and I do not object having the PENTAX logo on the hood

I recently bough a new Samsung 50-200 ED for the equivalent of GBP 20 The lens had been taken out of a kit, and the shop did not sell Samsung any longer, therefore the low price. The only drawback with this otherwise excellent purchase was that I did not get a hood with the lens. Where can one find a hood for this lens? Does the Pentax PH-RBB 52 fit my Samsung?

Are there multiple exposures? as the cliff's seem to have shadows behind them.
No, the image is from a single shot. I have only adjusted exposure and made a slight crop to the original jpeg.
The photo was taken late afternoon, when the weather was getting quite windy and rough. Below is a photo of the cliffs on a nice bright day.

I spent my Easter holidays this year in Los Gigantes Tenerife. This shot was taken with my travel camera.

Bjorn,

The second would be my pick - I think you've captured that sense of scale with the vertical aspect, and showing the house on the cliff. The rock wall in the foreground as depicted in the third image, doesn't add enough to warrant its inclusion IMO. On top of that, the light and colour are arguably better in the second image also - a clear winner for mine.
Thank you for your comments! I am glad that you can find a sense of scale within image no 2, that was really the big challenge with this subject. By the way, the red house on the cliff is in fact a large hotel building (http://www.fossli-hotel.com/index.html). I stayed there once in my childhood, and remember the thrill of being so close to the edge of the 200m high cliff

I want to find a hood for my Pentax A35-105 f/3.5 lens, preferably a plastic/rubber hood. Any suggestions?

Bjørn

Good shots of a difficult subject.

The drop is a real challenge for all but the widest of lenses and you've caught it well.

It's good to see the light was (is?) the same as when we passed there some nine years ago.
Thank you HG! I must say that I am quite impressed with the performance of the 18-55 WR. It is wide enough for most purposes, has nice colour rendition, and is sharp. These shots were done with a hand-held camera (Yes, I need to get a decent tripod:lol.

I agree that a slight crop, taking off a bit of the sky, would improve the image. Maybe something like this?
