Very nice images. The Church and grave stones is a very suitable motive for infrared, and is very nicely framed. I also like the trees/countryside motives in images 2+3, great skies. Does the Rollei infrared film require special handling (when loading the film i.e.)? Have you tried using this film with a 850nm filter?

Way back in the 1960s I worked in the Colour Testing Department at Ilford Films. One of the tests that we undertook with exposed film was the amount of image decay after 28 days, this being the point at which the silver halide would start to deteriorate. On the whole, a period of 1 to 3 months from first exposure to last was normally acceptable, after which image quality would very slowly decline. On this basis, I would suggest that your HP5 should have no more than 9 months to a year before serious regression would occur. I hope this helps

Thank you Michael! I am glad to receive "inside advice" from Ilford films I have probably never had Ilford HP5 (or any other Ilford films) in my cameras for more than six months at the most. In the future I will try to shoot HP5 more often, thus keeping the film in the camera for only a few months maximum.

Thank you for advice about storage and handling of film Peter!

How long time could one have Ilford HP5 plus in the camera before it has detrimental effect to the film? Nowadays I often use several months to finish a film.

BTW: The Super-Takumar and Super-Multi-Coated Takumar versions (picture above) of the 67 200mm f4 lenses are much inferior to the newest SMC Pentax 67 200mm f4. The SMC Pentax version has a redesigned optical construction and is one of the better lenses of the whole Pentax 67 system.

Back in 2012 i paid the equivalent to £ 1200 for a mint Pentax 67ii (including the wooden grip) plus the SMC versions of the 45mm, 105mm and the 165mm. The prices of Pentax 67 cameras today are unreasonably high.

Your copies of the AP and K seem to be in exceptional condition, they look brand new. I am quite a bit envious😊

I paid €450 for my "like new condition" SMC-A 50mm f1.2 in 2013 from the Leica Shop in Austria, and in addition I had to pay import fees (Norway not in the EU). All in all a lot of money, but these lenses are not easily found, so absolutely worth every penny (Norwegian Kroner). I cannot believe I have ever seen the A50/1.2 for sale here in Norway btw.

Very interesting perspective and composition. I love the colour palette of Ektar 100.

Very strong composition in all of the images. The mono version seems to emphasise the comet in a useful way. Thank you for sharing these images, and also the background story!
