The title says it all really and can anyone tell me how good or bad this lens actually is please. I need a light(ish) telephoto and am seriously considering this as I have now sold a couple of lenses to fund it. Any honest and helpful views are welcome.

Hi all, I've got a bit of a shoulder problem going on and I want to save up to get a lighter zoom lens so I am selling this lens.

I am offering it here first before I stick it on ebay.

Its feels very well made and is quite a hefty lens I believe it is a slightly older version of the current Sigma 70-300 APO as it has a gold ring around the top instead of a red. It takes decent photos and is in good condition with clean optics and everything works fine, zooming is resonably smooth and it has a handy macro function on it as well.

Not sure of a price but was thinking if I stick it on ebay I will put it on for £75 with a best offer option.

I am happy to accept a paypal payment as long as the buyer pays the fees.

I am going to put a couple of photos of the lens up soon once I remember how.

I agree about the 18-55 kit lens I can't afford or justify a beter one and don't think I will ever need to as I have always been more than happy with it. I have had the normal one and the weather resistant and they both must surely be the best value lens pound for pound.

It's still worth checking ebay every now and then, got mine last week off ebay for £35 plus P+P and after a clean up it turns out to be in mint condition.
