WTB: Pentax A 50mm f1.7

Looking for one of these in good condition.
Free of any fungus, dust, oil etc.

Good choice, I got mine for £45 on Ebay but that was before all the prices went a little dolally. Good luck

It's still worth checking ebay every now and then, got mine last week off ebay for £35 plus P+P and after a clean up it turns out to be in mint condition.

Check out listings for pentax film cameras like the Super A and P30 etc, as they frequently come with this lens attached and tend to go for less ( often much less) than the lens on it's own.

I have 2 x 50mm 1.7 M's for sale, not the A version but I'll do one cheap if your interested.

I tried the manual version as a beginner and I love it. I would recommend trying one, will teach you a lot! It is very easy to get good results.

Thanks Jamie for your comments on the M lens.
As an OAP I need to get all the help I can while these old eyes can still see, So relying more on the auto features , would even prefer the 50mm AF but it's so darn expensive at the moment, so thought the 50MM A lens would be a useful compromise for the limited use needed.

I have to agree Eddie, and if your model has "catch in focus" it is a boon you simply select your focus point and slowly wind the focus ring until focus is reached and voila the shutter fires. Fantastic
