i stand corrected but that is only the body and £25 more than the samsung, i don't know why people don't like the kit lens, it's pretty good.

i don't think anyone is that i know of, but why not get the Samsumng GX-10, identical camera except for the RAW format, my sis-in-law just got one from park cameras with the kit lens for £279, bargain, probably about £120 less than the K10D was going for when it was still available. I guess you might still find a K10D if you shopped around but if I was buying now the GX-10 would be my choice. Apart from slightly different buttons and menus its the same as my K10D.

welcome to the forum, been on here 6 months, great bunch, and srs are a good place to buy from. I don't have the SLR gorillapod but i'd say you'll find it inadequate, my brother in law has one and a canon 400d which is featherlight compared to pentax and he thinks it's inadequate for him. The 50mm 1.4 is very very good and highly recommended, pretty much all my best people shots have been on that, low light pics of my children, and continous mode of them running towards me, it refocusses in between shots really well. Hoya CPL filters are on Ebay all the time, you might find you save some pennies there.

all of them are great shots, now I have swung back to wanting this lens again! Only 6 months til my birthday

cheers John, they didn't keep still for long so wasn't much time to compose, all comes down to experience I guess, will take that point on board with the eyes. i think the hay round the nose looked good and i was probably distracted by that!

i like this shot, and prefer the first, if its cropped a little, and leava the colours. What shutter speed did you use? It's a nice affect you got there.
