You may need to adjust above or below 30% to match what you have on the screen.
Once you have established the correct Opacity value, save as an 'Action' and use each time before printing.

There is nothing wrong with the spyder lenscal. Suggest that if Algernon can calibrate off a cardboard box, then he is far better than most camera technicians.

My wife has used the Sigma 70-300 APO DG and the Tamron 70-300 on her K10.
Now she is using a Pentax DA 55-300. Fantastic lens. Sharp, no creep etc.
Dont know where you are in Australia, but Camera House Elizabeth St Melbourne will generally let you go out into the street to take a few comparison shots. If not, go to CR Kennedy, the Pentax distributors in South Yarra, they are quite obliging.

The Tamron 1.4x AF PZ MC4 is a great converter. I use on on occasion with my DA*200mm 2.8 SDM to get some extra reach. Obviously there is a small loss of resolution, but this is made up for by the larger magnification. The SDM functions fine as well!

Have a look at c't Digital Photography 4 (2011) They have a great article on using M42 lenses and adaptors on bayonet mount cameras. Seem like there are certain combinations which will not focus at infinity, or conversely focus at infinity a long way before the lens marking.
Conclusion is that it is really a matter of trial and error as to which combinations of lens and adaptor work, and which don't.

a) Select Overlay or Soft Light as the Blend Mode.
b) Reduce the Blend Mode Opacity amount to about 50%

Thing is, that this flash unit is marketed as Pentax Compatable - I am saying that is not (in my experience)100% true if you are using SDM.
For the record, the K20D had the latest (and last) firmware upgrade.
If you want 100% guaranteed compatability now and in the near future - stick with a Pentax unit.
