Colour Fringing

Having made a copy layer, applied High Pass Filter & overlaid onto the original, there's a lot of fringing.

Could anyone advise how to eliminate / reduce this effect?

Watch this.

Looks like the Blend Mode used after applying the High Pass Filter was too 'strong'. Suggest either oir both of the following:
a) Select Overlay or Soft Light as the Blend Mode.
b) Reduce the Blend Mode Opacity amount to about 50%
