I know they are nothing special, I'm glad it just works but these are the first pics out of my newly purchased Spotmatic F they are taken with the 50mm f1.4 or 35mm f3.5.

Local campus 'pack'

Little over exposed maybe but I was guessing as the sky was very bright

Quite pleased with them for my 1st film in aaaages, Processed at jessops onto CD, £6 and turned round in under half an hour (they were quiet). TTL exposure meter in the camera seems to be doing its job too. please feel free to crit or comment.

Brilliant stuff thanks.

Not sure the meter in mine is working properly now seems a bit temperamental about switching off.

Does such a thing exist in the public domain? I have bought a fairly tidy Spotmatic F and it all seems to work ok (makes the right clicks but have yet to process my first film from it). I would like to give the moving parts a quick clean and once over with the relevant greases and oils, probably convert the electric meter to run properly of a 1.55v silver oxide cell as well.

Is there any decent online technical info on these anywhere?

I also have a Spotmatic ESII in the post (was looking for 50mm f1.4 SMC lenses, found a reasonably priced one with a camera hanging off it ) which may need a little TLC so it there anything similar for that?

Thanks

Bill.

Hi

New pentax user here, I've retro-graded (not sure if its down or up yet) from digital to film. I have a Canon 20D which I wanted a nice fast prime for and bought a super Takumar 50mm f1.4 and M42->EOS adapter. I was so impressed I bought the 35mm f3.5 wanting something a bit wider and the S-M-C 135mm f3.5. So with all this glass I then had to buy a 'proper' camera to try it on and landed a cheap Spotmatic F which is part way through its first roll of film to see if all is good with it. Digital is still very handy for instant shots and learning but I am really liking the tactile feel of the spotmatic it feels more like a proper camera (which probably means more like my dad's old Nikon FE2 I remember borrowing).

So be nice, as there will be many questions.
