Amiga OS is the true answer!

The On/Off button on mine is very sticky and I sometimes push it too far, leaving the camera in stopped down mode. I usually leave mine in preview mode, so I don't have the exact same behavior, but that may be an issue.
I've had the other dials on the grip stop working, or it seems they interfere with operation of the main camera body dials. Removing and replacing the grip will usually free them up.
But you might try leaving the grip off and give it a go.

I wonder why I'm being "hassled" to not visit those sites.
I suppose by hiding the true destination, it can be a "risk".
I'll have to contact ZoneLabs. If that is all it does, they should be blocking the redirected addresses, not all of TinyUrl.
Thanks for the info.

Still, my virus software won't let me access anything hosted at tinyurl.com for the reasons I stated.
I assume tinyurl.com is one of those free or cheap hosting sites?
If so, I stand by what I said about them in general... we used to set up free sites to test certain aspects of our theftware and deterrent software (yeah, we surfed a fine line between both sides - depending how law enforcement chose to use our stuff). Regardless, we weren't the only ones using free sites for that purpose, and not all sites have someone with morals governing their use by the public.
I'd just be careful with where you travel.
There are literally kit-viruses out there from five years ago (basic virus building blocks that script-kiddies use) that still cannot be detected by the latest virus scanners and software firewalls. It is so simple to get past a lot of the current detection methods.
If you go to these sites you risk being infected and there will be no warnings at all!! We were able to get past the latest by EOD, Norton, McAffee, ZoneAlarm and others.
A lot can be done by visiting a website if you're not careful!!

I know several good sites there but still, I'd be hesitant to trust a site hosted there if it supposed to be for a large company. (Most companies want to use their own URL for their websites.)

Looks like David does not frequent the Forums, so perhaps there is a lack of knowledge on how this is supposed to work. Anyone know if David was aware of what judging entails?
I think we need a short "Rules for Entry" form before anyone is allowed to post an image for the competition for the first time.

How are these people suppose to understand that the camera has to flash to focus, flash to reduce red-eye, flash to meter the area, AND finally flash to take the photo.
I think cameras should come with stunning device to paralyze your victims until the photo has been taken.
"Gee, that grimace on Grandma's face sure makes her look so happy."
ergh...

PhotoReflect is nice for free and has some great features, but the software you must download in order to create your web site is large and no longer works on my machine. It is just too much hassle for me to uninstall and re-install to try to get it working again.

Does the K10D have an IR sensor on the back? My DS doesn't.
I have used the IR remote for some macro-like work where you just cannot get in front of the camera. It is a really nice addition.
Have to second the observation on the life of the battery in those things. Mine is going on ten years.
EDIT: Argh, beaten here as well. Everyone here is too darned helpful and quick!

But they are non-revocable and perpetual. You have no idea what their future intent is, and you have no control over what they do now or in the future.
Although it is pretty darned clear to me what their intentions are when they state up front the granting of royalty-free rights to; display, create derivative works, and to distribute...
If the rights are simply being given for internal support of day to day or emergency business operations, much of that can be spelled out.
Not sure why a backup, restore, or transfer of data would ever require the display of derivative works, but if anyone is comfortable with that.. go for it.
