Nice choice of subject, not just "red" I see!

I hall put my Thinking Cap on....

I've had my thinking cap on all day. Still haven't come up with anything that wouldn't be a cliche.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

I could only think of one picture worth entering in a comp with this title.

If people feel that I shouldn't enter it, given that it's been seen and discussed before, I'd be happy to withdraw it.

Don't withdraw. If it ends high or even wins, it does it on its own merits.
Not on the fact if it is discussed before.

My entrie isn't exactly anonymous from this forum also, but IMO it fit's the bill, as does yours.

Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

Mine's been seen before too. Luckily we have a judge that doesn't frequent the forums (unless he's a lurker). So for him, our pics are brilliant and new.

Or at least new.

I am starting to feel a bit sorry for this weeks judge. 31 entries so far and still 30 hours to go.
And some fabulous entries, if I might add.

Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

I agree.

Also with the theme of "A Touch of Red" there is such a wide range of subject matter

I certainly do not envy the judge

38 entries and counting
It's good to see we are on the level of entries we used to be.

Martin.

Douglas Adams fans will be pleased to see we ended up with 42 entries. That's assuming I didn't lose count.

Good luck to David with the judging - it's going to be time consuming I would think.

Are there no comments or are those forth coming?

Looks like David does not frequent the Forums, so perhaps there is a lack of knowledge on how this is supposed to work. Anyone know if David was aware of what judging entails?

I think we need a short "Rules for Entry" form before anyone is allowed to post an image for the competition for the first time.

Keep scrolling down, they're under the thumbnails under the winner's pic. Seems he hit a snag and comments were lost, but he's got some for the ones at the top of the heap.

David has done well and hopefully will put back his other comments over the course of the next week. One of the perils of posting one long critique is that it can all be lost if anything goes amiss. I know, I've had it happen.

Guidelines are provided in the appropraite sticky in this forum section and also as a trial competition which I called "JRs Competition" and this can be referred to as a suggested way to handle the judging.
Best regards, John

If you prepare your comments as a Word document, then no matter what happens with the PU site, you always have your comments available to paste into the appropriate place.
