Some years since I last looked at it so I may try it again. Quite a lot used to be missing on the free version, but they seem to list that on the website. To be honest the free version used to have too much taken out of it.
If that free version of ACDSee that you have is around v3.1 it's still about the best and fastest viewer for jpegs. It was given away on some cover cd's.

Also don't forget that Apple Quicktime phones home every time you use it which
is why a lot of people use "Quicktime Alternative"

I've got the Pentax version.... two of them. The only minor problem is the flash has a black band at 1/180th due to a timing problem. 1/125th works most of the time, but I have had a couple with black bands. 1/90th should be OK.
The Nikon version needs a small wire cutting see this thread

I can't believe the aloofness of Apple iTunes I mentioned earlier that they wouldn't even let me into the site because they couldn't find the iTunes virus on my PC. I just tried again to see if they still didn't like the colour of my money. This time they let me in.... the usual warning appears about the missing iTune virus, but it seems to be letting me browse.... then they Lock-UP the latest version of Firefox on XP Pro and I have to CTR-ALT-DLT to stop it
When I restart Firefox I get the following warning:

To me this is just the same as a virus attack

they can't see when it's in focus wide open. I was referring
more to the optical viewfinder rather than Live View. With
the lens stopped down to say f/11 it's very difficult to
see anything

Just tried IE it doesn't crash it only locks up Firefox 3.6.12 .... possibly MS issued a fix, but it does try to add something to my system startup which I've blocked. I never use IE anyway.
I'll send a report to Mozilla and leave it to them to take it up with Apple if they want to. Firefox 4 is due out so it would be worth them doing something about it, although the problem seems to be at Apples end they used to barr you completely if you hadn't got iTunes.
