It's always worth having more than one anyway..... batteries go flat.... lose it! etc.

I wonder what folks in here use.

This compared to the Pentax F seems good value. Has anyone used one?

Mainly for use in bulb mode
Should be OK. All IR remotes are pretty much the same. The problem with the Pentax one us that it's got square corners all round so you normally have it the wrong way round and upside down before you can use it. At least the Amazon one is rounded off at one end.

The RF-602 (wireless) is about the best I've used. Green LED comes on for half press and it changes to RED on the full press. You would have to buy the Canon one (same jackplug).

Edit: Sorry just noticed the Bulb mode ref. I've never tried that with any remote.

No one would dream of selling anything on ebay without a photo.
I can't understand why people think they can get away without one
on here

Looking through some of the other lenses they did use the blue
paint for the FT markings so possibly Pentax made. The coatings
were different as well, but that probably applies to a few of the
other lenses as well. There was a plasticky Tamron 28-90mm around
that time that scored very high points in AP lens tests. I actually
bought one, but it wasn't exceptional.

Ricehigh did a review of the Pentax lens link

Mines the standard model, but I don't remember what site I downloaded version 1.03 from...... and my Toaster keeps popping up when the breads nowhere near toasted!
