Just seen this: you have probably sorted it out by now, and I am afraid my answer isn't much help! I had this happen - fortunately the camera was still under an extended warranty.

However try Asahiphoto (the ad header on PentaxUser home page). I found them very helpful when my Z1-P and lens needed more extensive repair - had a very helpful phone call before sending the camera off

Sorry Christine - I don't know of one. I suppose if there are particular questions, folk on here would be able to help answer

This works with the *istD - I have a manual tamron lens, and have modified my Z1-P Cable release with lock position to fit the *istD.
metering has to be in manual and set beforehand, so there could be some considerable light change/ exposure level by the time the piccy is taken

George,
I was wanting to paste that link direct to the right page, but my browser wasn't showing anything other than the home page address - any clues why?

Yes! At bottom of Pentax section of the Digital Cameras, it has the body listed at £599.99 with a link to various money saving packages etc

Hi Stevo,
I have one of those adpaters as well. It seems it will only work in Manual metering mode. And even then, you have to press the 'green' button near the shutter release to operate the meter. This does mean that if the light changes significantly before you take the picture, exposure will be slightly out.
Hope this helps

I know it wasn't my question, but thanks for the reply, John, about sRGB giving a punchier set of colours. That seems so true - even when printing. Printing from an Adobe profile gives a more dull print than sRGB. Is this against the line of thinking that says use Adobe for printing and sRGB profiles for monitors/ web? Or is Adobe for printing only really meant for professional printing (ie non-inkjet use)?
