Pentax Z1-P Pop-up Flash has stopped popping-up!

The pop-up flash on my Z1-P no longer springs up. I think it may simply be that the spring has become detached as I can see what looks like a loose spring inside the casing.

Is there a simple way of solving this or does it involve a major disassembly job?

I hardly ever use the pop-up flash but would like to fix it if possible

Just seen this: you have probably sorted it out by now, and I am afraid my answer isn't much help! I had this happen - fortunately the camera was still under an extended warranty.

However try Asahiphoto (the ad header on PentaxUser home page). I found them very helpful when my Z1-P and lens needed more extensive repair - had a very helpful phone call before sending the camera off
