Matt,

If by correctly exposed you mean no post-processing, that is what the image is. Ie a night-time, moonlit shot converted from RSP with no additional tweaks - just some sharpening

Looks like I ought to send it back - got about 10days left on warranty!

What would one say are acceptable levels of noise banding? Took some moonlit shots the other night. Cloud in sky/ reflection off sea etc. Even at iso400 and noise reduction on, there is some banding 20seconds/f8-ish

Also at iso1600 2secs - awful! the picture is pretty well striped. The banding is horizontal.
Any insights etc welcome
Thanks
Andy

Have also had various problems with the grip and camera declaring batteries empty. Have not done any scientific tests as to whether happens more when camera is turned on first, before the grip, or vice versa or what. What I have foubnd is that sometimes have to power camera and grip down, open grip battery compartment, slide batteries out/ push back in/ re-close and away we go again - for an indefinite amount of time (ie quite a long time!). This appears to happen even if both sets of batteries are still reasonably charged.
Am using 2 sets of 2400mAh NiMH

Do I assume that if I want to post a piccy here, it has to be on a web-host page, and can't be up-loaded (as eg on ePz)?

Thanks for your replies. it looks like probably the answer is 'no'.

One day I probably will go for 20Gb HD or similar portable device. However it was just a thought more whether one could use a USB flash drive in emergency
